Hi there,
I see this community is not very active but I wanted to say hello because I will be attending in the fall (the evening program). If anyone has any words of advice for a new student they would be appreciated.

What a good idea this community is! Thanks, Patrick, for creating it.

My name is Catherine and I will be a 1L at CUA this fall. I've been accepted into the Comparative and International Law Institute but really have no idea what I want to study. I look forward to meeting everyone in person in (eep!) 12 days.

Hello. I see that this community is nearly non-existent, but I'd like to ask you a few things about the school if you're out there. I am planning on applying to a few J.D./MLS (master of library science) programs very soon, and one of my options is CUA. I love the idea of living in D.C., but I am not sure if I would fit in at the school. I am not Catholic, but I find Catholicism fascinating and much more welcoming than the protestant evangelical denominations I have become accustomed to living in Florida my whole life. I currently attend a Methodist affiliated college, and I am not Methodist either. My school is great, but the administration does have moments of closed-mindedness when it comes to people of a different persuasion than the conservative majority. I am wondering if most of the students at CUA, particularly law students, are Catholic. If so, do you think they (you) would welcome a non-Catholic student? Also, how large of an impact does the fact that the school is a private, church affiliated institution have on your legal education? Have you noticed a bias (political or religious) in any of your classes? I have read the school's mission statement, and it sounds good to me, but I hope that I will be acceptable by the schools standards as a moderate who has yet to firmly establish her spiritual identity. In addition to all that, do you enjoy your time at CUA, and would you recommend it? Thanks for any information:)

mozillafs: Welcome everyone!

Here's your place to post about things happening at CUA's law school, general inquiries, complaints, or declarations of undying love. Have at it!
